Photographic Competition
the late Peter Meech
A competition for amateur photographers in memory of Peter Meech, a stalwart of the "Trad", is now an established part of this event.
A top photographer in the 1960s, Peter photographed celebrities including The Beatles and had a thriving photographic and design studio.
Peter Meech owned a variety of river craft and was a director and marketing manager of the event. At one time he also acted as part time skipper of the SS Alaska.
